ECCP® Outcomes

The Early Childhood Consultation Partnership (ECCP®) shows significant and meaningful impact upon the intended population, namely, children birth to five who are at risk of suspension or expulsion from their early care or education setting. Children at risk typically exhibit aggressive-oppositional and/or disruptive behaviors. The ECCP® model is an indirect consultation service that is designed to build the capacity of caregivers and families in the area of social emotional and behavioral health so they can improve outcomes for children.

ECCP® has been successful in maintaining young children in their early care and education environments and by doing so has reduced the potential impact this has upon the child’s social and emotional development, as well as their relationships with caregivers. 99% of children at risk of suspension or expulsion were not suspended or expelled at the one-month follow up of their classroom teacher receiving ECCP® consultation services.
